I found about this song and The Beths from Porter Robinson's cherished playlist. This album is amazing.

Somehow this song rememberd me of prom queen from beach bunnies. But in some moments my brain sings "they say beauty is vain" to this one guitar tune from the beginning

I love the "dream punk" sound. It's like classic song writing structures and emphasis on pop hooks, but with distorted guitars and flights into rock or even punk energy where appropriate. It's a perfect example of somebody having learned the rules so they can creatively break them. Another band with this sound is Eternal Summers, but unfortunately they don't have the mastery songwriting that somebody like Liz has.

The sound is Courtney Barnett gone bubblegum, or the shy-sugar lift-off of Belle & Sebastian with some Replacements stank in the cute, careening guitars. Singer-guitarist Elizabeth Stokes excavates the feeling of not really being able to get over someone who may have been worth it or maybe not so much. But is that ever the point?
